William is a member of the Board of Directors. He earned a Bachelor of Arts, with a focus on outdoor education, at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He was trained as a Waldorf school teacher at Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks and has worked as an outdoor educator for Greenwood School in Marin and Connolly Ranch in Napa. He is certified as a massage therapist through Esalen Institute and Harbin School of Massage. He maintains a private massage practice in Napa. William has worked as a volunteer bringing medical and sanitary infrastructure improvements to Burmese refugees in Northern Thailand.
Mark is the Secretary of Buds to Blossoms and a member of the Board of Directors. He has been active in a wide variety of service projects in South Asia, including providing earthquake relief in Kashmir and working with street children, orphaned and disabled children and acid attack survivors in India. Mark co-founded Friends Without Borders and collected and delivered tens of thousands of friendship letters Indian children wrote to Pakistani children. As part of this project he designed the World's Largest Love Letter, written from the children of India to the children of Pakistan.
Tamie co-leads the Buds to Blossoms Pediatric Massage Volunteer Program and is Buds to Blossoms' Marketing Director. She has four years of experience as a practitioner of infant massage and pediatric massage and as an early childhood educator. Her background includes volunteer massage work with orphaned infants in Japan.
Les is the founder and President of Buds to Blossoms. He co-leads the Buds to Blossoms Pediatric Massage Volunteer Program. Les is a Certified Educator of Infant Massage through Infant Massage USA, a Certified Infant Massage Instructor through the International Association of Infant Massage, a Certified Pediatric Massage Practitioner through Gentle Massage for Children, and a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist through Liddle Kidz Foundation. He holds a certification as an Esalen Massage Practitioner through Esalen Institute where he has worked as a member of the Esalen Massage Crew since 2006. He is also the producer and editor of the Deep Bodywork DVD series. Les founded and served for four years as the director of the Kizuna Baby volunteer program through which volunteers are recruited and trained to provide massage to babies in orphanages in their own communities in several cities in Japan.
Kristen is a member of the Board of Directors. She has worked in the non-profit sector for over 10 years in various capacities. Kristen began her career as Assistant to the Executive Director/Founder of Civil Society, which provides free legal services to victims of crime. In that position the focus of her work was on immigration law and intervention in extortion and sex trafficking. She helped manage nine grants to support funding for these services. Kristen obtained her B.A. in Communication from the University of Arkansas and her M.A. in Addiction Studies from Hazelden's Graduate School in Minnesota. She is a CTI trained life coach. While at the University of Arkansas she was an active member of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity. Kristen is both a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Addiction Professional. She worked as a primary therapist at Hazelden's Center for Youth and Families and currently works at Caron Renaissance in Boca Raton, Florida.
